From: Dennis Simcott Date: 05-Dec-2005 To: Sue Nelson Sue, Personal safety reasons? And how would your personal safety be in any way affected by our sitting and discussing the issues? I'm afraid I don't understand. I presume by "respectively" you meant "respectfully", in which case I'm wondering where the respect has so far been shown. Certainly your allusion to me being some sort of threat to you doesn't show much respect. If not, I'm not sure what you mean by that sentence. In any case, the only outcome I have truly striven for is for NEWI to admit that it got things wrong. To admit that its level of organisation and consistency of teaching often did not meet the standards expected (as was advertised), and to ensure that future students would be treated with a greater level of respect than we were shown by various members of staff. If you - like all other NEWI correspondents so far - believe that NEWI did nothing wrong, that NEWI never once faltered in its level of organisational and treated me with anything other than the respect deserved, then quite frankly it scares me. The level of arrogance so far shown in this respect is staggering. I little humility and culpability goes a long way. So far neither has been displayed by NEWI. I hope in your new position, you try to rectify that problem as much as you can. Yours sincerely, Dennis Simcott
